What’s in my Outcall bag!

I never leave for a booking without my outcall bag. My big bag of secrets carries all the essentials I need, so I’m going to give you a peek of what’s inside it.

My bag: Louis Vuitton Neverfull

I bought my LV Neverfull at their flagship store in Paris many years ago as a self-graduation-present after finishing my degree. I’ve never really been into fashion, but I do appreciate quality. These bags can last decades and they are sturdy AF. After an incident at university where I broke a laptop because of my cheap bag strap breaking, I decided I needed to invest in a trustworthy bag to carry my heavy electronics (laptop, camera gear, iPad etc) around. It also looks nice and goes with a lot of outfits, so it’s a double win. It’s a great size for an outcall bag, especially if I need to bring a few changes of clothes.

Probably the most important item in my LV is my essentials bag, which is where I keep my condoms and lube. I love these cosmetics bags from Target- they a nice size and are decent quality. When I first started out, I used to throw everything into my main bag, but I learned very quickly that lube absolutely must be kept in a separate bag!! Inside the essentials bag, I keep a few different sized condoms and a small packet of lube. I don’t like to carry large bottles of lube around (they’re bulky plus if it leaks… more liquid = more mess). I’m a low volume worker so I don’t go through much, but if you were a higher volume worker, I’d recommend decanting from a larger bottle into a smaller one.

I also have some sex toys. I keep these in a seperate ziplock bag for hygiene reasons. I don’t use them very often, but occasionally I get asked so they’re handy to keep around! Baby wipes are also really handy. You don’t know you need them until you need them.

My portable speaker comes with my to every booking. I feel like background music is essential at creating the right environment for my clients. I usually pick a playlist to suit the mood- sometimes soft jazz and acoustic covers to help us relax, or I may put something more uplifting like a 80’s/90’s pop mix to build up the energy. I have the JBL Flip- as small as a can of coke, yet still packs a decent sound- and only about $100. I sound old saying this, but it ceases to amaze me how far audio engineering has come in the last decade.

I always carry a cosmetic bag with all the essential pieces of makeup I need to touchup for redo my makeup between clients. Inside I keep foundation, blush/bronzer/highlighter set, mascara, eyeshadow set, lipstick, an eye brow pencil and some brushes. I use the same Target bag as my essentials bag but in another colour (clearly Target need to sponsor me). I don’t actually like the feeling of too much makeup on my skin (plus it smears when you’re doing the dirty), so I go for a pretty minimal look. These Manicare makeup remover towels work really well (which simply use water), if redoing makeup between clients. I found that disposable wipes can be quite damaging on the skin, especially if you have sensitive skin.

Personal Hygiene (Shampoo, deodorant, Mouthwash)

Before every booking, I shower thoroughly and again afterwards, including washing my hair (I’m a hygiene freak). I keep travel sized shampoo and conditioner in my bag which I decanter from a larger bottle. I also decanter mouthwash. The mouthwash is there not just for myself, but for client too in case they need it. If I remember, I will bring disposable shot cups (like the ones you use for Tequila 🤮). Of course I alway have a small deodorant and perfume to use after a shower.

As sex workers, we shower a lot! I never really saw the point of moisturising up until now. I’ve tried a lot of different ones of a range of prices, but I have always come back to simple old Aveeno from the supermarket. Sometimes the plain and simple moisturisers actually do the best job. They don’t have all the fancy perfumes that go into the more expensive ones, so they’re usually better for the skin too.

I also routinely top up my hair tie and painkiller supply. Hair ties are definitely an essential for a sex worker (for obvious reasons). And there’s nothing worse than going into a booking with a throbbing headache.

Business Tools (diary, phone, card reader, chargers)

Last but not least are the items that keep my business running.

Escorts always have two phones. It’s important to keep work and personal life separate. When I first started I actually just used the one phone, since I hadn’t actually anticipated being in the industry for that long. Most of my friends contacted me via social media (millennial things), so a lot of people didn’t actually have my number. It wasn’t long until I started running into problems. For example, when the phone rang from an unknown number, I could never answer the phone with my name because I didn’t know which to use! Also if I was showing a friend a video or photo on my phone and a crude text message popped up, it was always an awkward moment.

I have a card reader, since not everyone comes prepared with cash and I have been burnt a few times with bank transfers. Bank transfers are getting faster, but still not always instant, unlike an eftpos machine. I have a square reader since they’re not bulky, simple to set up and you just need your phone as the interface.

My diary is where I keep all my appointments. I prefer a physical diary over an iPhone calendar- I’m not sure why, I just find the visual layout easier to manage and organise.

I hope you enjoyed this peek into my outcall bag!
